芝加哥小熊隊睽違108年再次拿下世界大賽冠軍，也僅僅是隊史第三冠，總冠軍教頭Joe Maddon(麥登)也拿下生涯執教首冠，他表示：「這是我的第一個寶貝(Baby)，我們打贏了這場艱困的比賽，最重要的是我們都沒有放棄。」
Joe Maddon曾經在魔鬼魚隊時幫球隊打進世界大賽，去年他也帶領小熊隊打進季後賽，但絕不像今年這樣驚奇。
他也提到第七戰當對方打者Rajai Davis敲出追平全壘打後，他必須要去想B計畫、C計畫或其他方案。
最後他也恭喜印地安人隊打了一整季的好球，也晉級世界大賽，也是一支很好的球隊。
小熊隊打破了「山羊魔咒」也創下美職史上最久才再次奪冠的紀錄，讓人不得不佩服。
